So my story begins...

{pic}
My life begins with a letter. Maybe I should say my life changed with a letter since I received the letter when I was twenty-three. My new life began with a letter.

My dearest hope,
If you doubt the words I spoke to you the other night, don't. I have made you the promise of my love and my devotion forever.

I have ordered us a simple state room on the Northern Star Liner, it leaves from Liverpool on Monday and we will sail to New York as man and wife. No one can stop us not even the King, I promise. If you love me meet me at the Euston Station for the 6:15 AM train to Liverpool. I will be waiting to take you into my arms and away from all things long ago.

Believe me when I say, all my love,
K

So begins my story...

Somewhere I was told an author does not to share your work. It might have been when Norman Mailer was on Gilmore Girls and was talking to a reporter (picture above). He said he never talked about his work. I don't understand this. I mean I know I am not a real author and by that I mean I am not published (minus this blog). I don't know how not to share my writing... I love it so much and when you love something you want to share it. I mean If you follow me on pinterest you will see my love of Downton Abbey, Jane Austen, and other things. So why can't I share my writing? Besides this blog might be the only way I am ever published. I used to blog my story, the Sisters of Pine Haven, and it kept me motivated to finish. Then my friend told me a publisher would not touch my story if I kept it open for the public (that makes sense so I limited who could see the blog). Though I still long to share my writing. If I should never get published at least I would know the blogging world would see my story and know my passion. So I don't know what is better...

My new story starts in 1906, goes through WWI and then ends in the 1920's. The scene I shared is Kelby Gray (my hero) promising to take Esther Harrington (my heroine) away from their past. Then the story flashes back to summer of 1906 when the kids still have very idealistic views of the world but that all the ideals come crashing down during WWI. Marcus Harrington (oldest brother) is eager to fight but his father doesn't want him to go so he has to run away to join the military. Marcus' best friend Shane Gray comes with him and together they join up. After Shane is shot Marcus becomes a shell of his former self and is sent back home. Not long after the news of Shane's death Daphne (Esther's sister) marries Parker Welford (Lord Welford's son). This shocks Esther because she always knew Daphne loved Shane. This marriage pleases her mother as she knows it is good security. Some where in this Esther and Kelby fall in love which is not at all good because Kelby is the son of Lord Welford's cook and mother finds out. So now her mother sends her to London to stay with Daphne and Parker. In this time her mother promises Esther's hand to Lord Welford (Parker's father). Kelby and Esther know the only way they can be together is if they run away.

This is a story I have been playing through my head for a year or so and I really hope to finish this story. I have this brief outline but I am excited to see where the characters take me.

Found these images on Pinterest and thought they would be good settings for my story...

Even if you guys don't know it this blog was a big support for me to finish my last story, which was a huge accomplishment for me. (It just needs to be edited and published... but I am working on it). So I wanted to share the starting point of this story.

Thanks for your support.

Time to Celebrate!!!
Since my 100th post I have had some blogging celebrations...
1. I have gotten lots of writing done on my story the Sisters of Pine Haven... In my post Winter Break  I wrote that I wanted to write more of my story. I stated in that post I only had 9 post of my story, now I have 22 post.
2. I got a twitter account you can now follow me @liblairian I post updates on blog and things in my life.

3. I had my blog redesigned thanks to Annie from Wattlebird
4. I am happy to say I had two wonderful guest bloggers on this blog.

Kimberly from "Here's what I think about"

Laura from "Girl Plus Everything Else"
What did you want to be when you grew up

5. I also wrote 2 guest blogs for their blogs. My Journey Through Reading and inspired by Laura's post on growing up I wrote about all my dream jobs that I had while I was growing up

6. My post "A Sunday of nonproductive-ness" has been looked at 143 times, that is huge for me.

Some personal celebrations

I left my full time job in January so I can go to school full time. It has been great to have the time to focus on school and it is nice to have days off. It is so nice not going from working all day to doing home work all night.
Also I during my spring break I went to see my sister and my niece. It was a wonderful trip and great time to bond with my niece. She calls me "Ah ba" because she can't say Aunt Blaire yet. I don't know if I actually want her to call me Aunt Blaire because I love the way she says my name. I have gotten bit homesick since being back in Boston so I have skyped with her a few times.
My niece and I
I know I spend a lot of time dreaming about the future and eagerly awaiting what the future has to offer but I am more and more loving the day for what it is and not always what I hope it will be. I admit some times it is harder than I would like but I can't keep waiting for the future, because after all the future is only what I make of it today.

A Sunday of nonproductive-ness

My Sunday was suppose to be productive but I haven't felt well today so I am making way through the third season of Gilmore Girls. So continuing on with my nonproductive-ness (not a word I know)  I found one of my favorite Taylor Swift songs "Tim McGraw" with Rory and Jess scenes. I know it is completely sappy but I love finding these kind of music videos.  I know Rory an Lorelei probably did not listen to Taylor Swift, she is too main stream for their taste I think the joining of Taylor swift and Gilmore Girls is great.

My thoughts from Thursday

For the most part I like my Thursday.
I got to sleep in and then I started the second season of Gilmore Girls.
I own all the seasons and I go through them frequently

One of my favorite episodes
I worked on my blog and still figuring out Twitter.
I also thanks to a challenge I am in I have found new bloggers.

I did a little bit of redecorating.
A few days ago my Audrey Hepburn poster fell down.
As much as I love Audrey Hepburn I am not sure I want it up anymore.
It just seemed kind of high schooly to me... and I want to look more grown up.
Before with the hole where the poster used to be.
After with some rearranging
Then sadly I had to go to class.
It is my evaluation class... and I feel it is inspiring as Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller.

I know you are not suppose to judge a book by its cover.
But I think it with my text book for the class... I think you can do this.
This is my word photo for the challenge
The book looks boring... and guess what is... and with no pictures in it.

But while I was in class a friend of mine, who loves a very indie feel of music,
and he sent my a Facebook message with two songs her likes.
He is determined to get us main stream people into indie music.

Song: A Punk
By: Vampire Weekend
I liked this song.

That was my Thursday hope your day was good.

Happy Hearts

Who Put the Bomp-Barry Mann

It is a really old school song but I thought it was great for welcoming in the month of February. Especially a February that starts at 58 degrees. I know I am single and I don't have a Valentine but I am such a hopeful romantic that I get caught up in the idea of Valentine's day. The day when you get to express your feelings. In a very corny way I think it would be sweet for the guy I like to use Valentine's day as a reason to tell me he liked me too. But that is probably something that only happens in a movie. Oh well I can dream right?

Hope you all have a wonderful February!
To my future Valentine

Love is in the Air

One of my favorite bloggers Desirous of Everything and a few other bloggers have started a February Comment Love Challenge. Here are some of the things she wrote about the challenge:
I don't know about you guys, but I sort of live for comments on my blog.  A blog comment let's me know that someone is actually reading what I wrote and that someone actually liked it enough to say something about it.  I mean, that's kind of a big deal right?

Don't judge me by my pin boards

Okay you can judge by my Pinterest board...

I mean after all I have "planned" my whole wedding via Pinterest and I am single.
Best to make fun of myself
And yes I have planned out my entire imaginary wardrobe and I never go clothes shopping
and designed my future dream home.

But I have used it mostly to find pretty and funny pictures to use for my blog.

But I have also found great songs and videos on it.

And my obsession for Downton Abbey, Gilmore Girls, Jane Austen, Coffee and Chocolate,
and all things pink are quite obvious.

But yes I do collect recipes I hope to one day have to have the skills to make.

And yes I do have pin boards dedicated to being a hopeful romantic and to flowers I like.

And I have a board dedicated to all the places I want to see.

I even have a board dedicated to men I have Hollywood crushes on
(there are too many to show pictures of).

And for my rebellious side I have a wall dedicated to the tattoos I would get if I was to ever get a tattoo.
(Don't worry mom... I am not getting a tattoo)

But seriously if your not on Pinterest what are you waiting for.

Here is a little tutorial.

If you want an invitation you can contact me and I will be happy to send you one.
